DFrost, the annual design and cultural festival hosted by the National Institute of Design R&D Campus, Bangalore is back with a pixel perfect show. National Institute of Design is India’s premier design institution, established in 1961. It is internationally acclaimed as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. The Business Week, USA has listed NID as one of the top 25 European & Asian programmes in the world. It is an autonomous institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID has been declared ‘Institution of National Importance’ by the Act of Parliament, by virtue of the National Institute of Design Act 2014.
NID's Research & Development Campus, Bangalore addresses the immediate need for an exclusive Design Research centre in the country, by fostering the creative design spirit and sighting new opportunities and frontiers through NID's design acumen nurtured over the four decades of intense teaching-learning process.
